December 22nd

These are just funny, Brett brought us doughnuts this AM. We hadn't had a doughnut in YEARS. Then, a few weeks ago we had one, and today!
He brought 2, so I thought it may SHOCK my mom if I put them both on her plate. Honestly, she doesn't like doughnuts. She picked at the chocolate, and sucked some glaze off the apple fritter. More for me, I guess? :)
Not very tempting though, as we won't get back to our gym till Monday. Getting VERY punchy without my workout!!!!!

December 21st

Worst Gift Giver. Today we went out to Target in GR & found the Meowsic Keyboard.
I was just going to throw it in the cart and wrap it up for Xmas. However, E spotted it first, and it rode in her lap for the rest of the shopping trip. Seriously, she sang her BBCs and belted out other lovely tunes for all the shoppers. I thought it was hilarious (bc it's my kid).

She continued to play the keyboard till it was time to go to dinner!!

*note to self, 3 cuties (clementines) before dinner, NOT good. On a normal day we eat this many just fine.
Well, NOT tonight!!! We ate downstairs at JD Reardon's, it was actually pretty good. Fish'n'Chips, Fish Tacos and a variation of Mozzarella sticks. All very tasty and not our usual meals at all.
ANYWAY, E looked at me and I saw her eyes get big a a little heave of her belly. I grabbed a napkin just before she blew chunks, OMG! She puked 2x, luckily it was all contained in napkins and on a plate & WE were done eating. No one even saw the event, just warned the server, not to grab the napkins.

We told the M's what had happened and the first question Mr asked was: "Did they know you were MK's?" OMG, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
LUCKILY, We didn't ruin his reputation down there, everything was Tufd. Thank goodness, can you imagine the embarrassment it may have caused? Now we just have to make sure we aren't seen with the M's there at all, or they might know we're related.

She was perfectly fine after that, and came back to play her keyboard.
I was asked "Why did you buy this again?"(referring to the keyboard)

Our real piano/keyboard is in storage, so we don't have one at the house. It's just a fun toy. We really don't have that many 'talking toys' and like it that way. This fits across her carseat too for all our commutes. She has a small computer and keyboard that will now help entertain her in the car. AND it's pretty funny to hear her in the microphone too.

December 20th

Yesterday Cousin A had her tonsils and adenoids taken out. We were asked to look after her and keep her on the chill while she recovers. She is a VERY active person, much like E. These two in the same room are usually NUTS, but today we have to keep it in check.
We started with a movie & breakfast in bed.

Next, they moved on to dress-up and played a little bit.

After that, I baked cookies and made frosting and icing for them to decorate cookies. E was very into eating her icing and sprinkles, but A was a big help and decorated cookies for everyone!
We made Over 40 sugar cookies with Butter-creme Frosting and Almond Icing with Animal Sprinkles.
OOPS!! Oh well, plenty to give away :)

After the fun, I finished packing us up to leave for the week and head down to GR.

December 18th Tawas Village

On a whim we decided we would go visit mimi & papa. We waited till E's nap time to get in the car.
When we got there Brett wouldn't let me do her hair. *note the crazy look though out the photos!!
I also didn't know there was an xmas party at the village that day either. We would have dressed up a little for the occasion.
E was taking it all in. She was the only small child there, Santa came to give out gifts, there was a small brass ensemble with a couple singers there (one of which was the HS music director)

During the music, E took the center stage, clapping, swaying, and dancing to the music. The residents LOVED it. They swayed and clapped with her, talked to her, and sang to her. It was pretty funny & very sweet. Again, we should have come prepared!! The staff director took her photo, how embarrassing!

After the band packed up, the music director scooped E up and took her to the piano. E sat on her lap and they played a few songs. Once she was done, E was still stuck to the keys for a while after that.

This site was VERY pleasing to a couple of piano players. Especially my papa who was a fantastic piano player and musician.

On the way home there was this really great sunset. It's taken through a dirty car windshield, but I didn't care. It was very wispy and colorful.

December 16th, Bday party

Here's Brett helping E at her Friday night gymnastics. She LOVES the rings and bars. Only one of us can go in with her, so I tried to take photos through 2 windows! Not great, but it's something.

here they were swinging on the rings, to knock over some foam blocks. Then, they had to re-stack the blocks for the next person.

Belated B-day Party after Gymnastics with g-ma & g-pa M.

December 14th

2 years old!!! Happy Birthday E!!!

E woke up to Cookie monster singing her happy birthday! Thanks g-ma & g-pa Van-T! Hilarious! She loved it & played it over & over again.

Today is a Wed, so we have ballet and grocery shopping.

After ballet, shopping & a nap, Cookie monster appeared in real life to get hugs & kisses!!

We ate chocolate cake and watched Mary Poppins (her new favorite movie!!!)

Dec3rd-13th

We have had a pretty routine December so far. Gymnastics Mondays, Ballet Wednesdays, GR Gymnastics on Fridays.

E still has time to practice her skiing with dad though. Keeping pants or clothes in general on this girl is almost impossible. She does love her halloween costumes though.

This was a,  "look what I did mom!" moment. She uses markers all the time, but I've never seen this!
She was drawing and chillaxing while I was making breakfast, SO I THOUGHT! OMG!!!!

Fridays, we get ready and do warm-ups for gymnastics. Then do and Re-do her hair!

We have also had some shopping outings in GR too.
