Sunday June26th

Today, I couldn't take another day inside. I pleaded with Brett to load the bikes and we went to the Mississippi River Trail and cross the Government bridge to the Great River trail in IL. The ride was really nice and we had perfect weather.
As usual, E helped Brett prep the bikes and trailer.

I had my camera on my shoulder nice and secure, but Brett said NO WAY! LoL!!! I knew he'd catch me. So, If E and I walk the trail one of these days I'll take photos then!

A comparison of before and after the bike ride :)
Before is fun, but After is really nice too.

Next, we headed to the Front Street Brewery...FISH TACOS! YES!!! YUMMMMMMMMY!! They are soooooo goood. Anyway, we did some running around, then came home for showers and naps.

Then, E woke up had a snack and we headed out to play a round of 9holes of disc. The course was packed with groups today.

Saturday June25th

Weather report said it was going to start raining at 1pm. So we were up early, went to the Y, and headed out for another round of 9holes of disc.
After that, we came home and snacks for lunch :)

The rain did come and we spent the rest of the day being bums.

Friday June24th

So, we did our usually morning routine and walked to the Y.

I checked us in, got her out of the backpack and realized, she only had 1 SHOE!!!!! OMG!
So, I loaded her back in the pack and back tracked ALL the Way to our APARTMENT PARKING LOT!
At this point I stopped and debated, the daycare is only open till 12 on Fri and doesn't re-open in evening.

I couldn't help myself. I turned around and walked back to the Y! Honestly, at this point I was thinking I had been walking for enough of a workout that morning.

Brett came home and we went out to play 18holes of disc. :)

Thursday June 23rd

I put on my shoes 3 separate times to go to the Y this AM.

First, it started raining...so we did some painting instead.
It always starts so clean and controlled,Then, before you know it..it's body paint and full out make a mess time!

I quick put her in the shower and we got ready for the Y again. They sky looked like it was clearing. THEN, E decided she wasn't going to get in the backpack till she had some food. Fine with me, so we took our shoes off again, and ate.

After we ate, she looked very sleepy, so I tried to convince her to take a nap...NO WAY! SO we got ready again to go to the Y.

I worked out for an hour and then went to get her from child care. I happened to look out the window before I picked her up and it was RAINING!!! So, I got back on a treadmill for another 15 minutes, while I waited for the rain to clear. THANK GOODNESS IT DID!!!!! :)

Then home for her afternoon nap, and blog catch up...

Wednesday June22nd

SO last night E decided to hide Brett's phone. I found it behind the couch this AM.
I google mapped how long it would take us to walk from the apt to Genesis. 1hour 40mins, and just a little over 5.5miles.
The weather didn't look promising, but it said showers were 30% likely.

I loaded the pack and took off. We ran out of sidewalk, and were walking on the side of country roads.
I made sure to stay well off the road.

It sprinkled on us a little bit. One couple stopped and offered us a ride as we were looking at the Genesis parking lot. I assured them it was just a light drizzle, we were okay, and I was just feet from my destination.

We had Brett paged and he was very surprised to see us. It took about 1.5hour to walk there. So, we took the car after we gave him his phone.

Next destination was Hobby Lobby. I've needed mat board since we arrived here. We walked around for a while and E picked out a new friend, a fuzzy soft, silky husky named 'Slush'.

As I was leaving the parking lot, I realized my phone was missing! So, I ran back in with E and we looked for our cart. It was gone, I still frantically looked in all the carts, and talked to the manager.

NO word yet! I'm so scatter brained sometimes!!!!!!! NO GOOD!!!!

We also received a loaded box from the Shade Shop. Will send pics of the new hat! So great! E was making Brett wear it last night, too funny. AND thank you for the books!!!!!!! We have been destroying the 1 we have here. PICS...

Tuesday June 21st

YEAH!!!! SUN!!!
We woke up ate some breakfast snacks and headed to the Y.
As usual E walked right in and began to play, it was packed this AM.

We came home to have some lunch. I couldn't convince her to take a nap, so we loaded back up in the backpack and walked to the grocery store.

By the time we got back she was folded in half falling to the side of the pack. Kind of funny, but I didn't have the camera ready.

I prepped an artichoke and baby bella mushroom lasagne minus the white wine. Delicious!

Brett was home early today, so we decided to go play 9holes at the disc park.

Again, NO PICS!! I nEEd to get ON that!

Monday June20th

It was a rainy soggy day, all day.
We made sugar cookies with homemade frosting :)
We made big messes and just kicked it around the apartment.
No much to post, but wanted to keep it current.

Sunday June 19th

Happy Fathers Day!
Brett got a new handmade pint from one of our favorite potters in West Michigan.

It was so muggy, we thought we would go check out a local museum. There are a few to choose from, and we left the house not knowing which one to go to.
WELL, then we decided disc golf might be more fun. I called up a local shop and asked for directions to the 'one he would play today, if he was going out'  He gave me a list of 5, seriously! There are a BUNCH in the area.
He did say that he would probably head to Eastern Park, that's where we headed. Turned out Duck Creek trail follows the course and we had seen it when we were biking. Perfect!
E was ready to go, she's played this game!

After a long 18 holes, Brett and E relaxed together while I took a 5 hour test for my on-line class!  Thank goodness that's over!

Saturday June18th

Today started with Swim lessons at 8:00am. They put a foam pad with a strap around E's waist and tried to get her to kick her feet etc.
She did pretty well as long as I was holding her, the instructor tried to take her, and it was a death grip and squishy face complete with screams and 'NOs'
SO, I would take her hands and pull her, while she would kick her feet a few times.
Finally, I took her over to the edge of the pool and let her grab the wall. I let go & she did great. I grabbed the wall too and we stayed like that for quite a while. She's getting it. :)
No pics, sorry! I was wet and couldn't very well bring the camera in :((
The foam floatie was pretty funny, looked like a turtle shell.

SO then we headed to Sam's Club for some folding chairs and prepped for our 12:00 air show!

I took WAY WAY WAY too may photos!!!!!!!! There were stunt planes, prop planes, HUGE jets, parachuters, a jet truck and more. I have never been to anything like this before. I've been to an air and space museum and saw the planes parked, but to see these guys in action was impressive. I didn't know what to expect, but it was pretty fun to see.
The planes would stall out and fall from the sky, do loops, barrels, you name it they probably did that trick.
We set up at the car first, but then later moved our chairs to a grassy spot for better viewing and play.

We also went to see Brett's desk. He needs some paintings at his desk  :)

Then there was more plane and jet truck watching to be done. ; p
In no particular order, here are some of the things we saw. There were so many photos, I will have to edit and find good ones at another time. Plus, I didn't know who was interested in seeing these?

The birds were hanging around for the show.

by the time we got home we were beat! watched movies and went to bed...Exciting!

Friday June17th

So far, a Y visit, complete with popcorn YUM!

After a popcorn binge E fell asleep in the backpack on the way home. Again, easiest way to lay her down for a nap, I love it!

She woke up and ate her lunch. It was so nice out, that we weren't about to spend another minute inside.
I switched up our playground today and we walked over to the one associated with our apt complex.
OMG! look at the eyes on these bouncy guys. Talk about nightmares, it's like a gothic make-up job for these toys.

The swings were okay, but E was not impressed today.

This slide doesn't look that big, but the stairs are steep. Of course E had to climb these. No pics, bc I was walking right behind her and took her down the slide.
