The morning started out a bit gray all the weather was calling for showers. This didn't stop us from heading to TC for a bike ride and water play.
We parked at Brick Wheels and started to ride north toward Suttons Bay on the TART trail. This was a BAD choice. 1st thing was families of slow cruisers and old peeps. Oi! THEN a pitbull came around the corner and attacked Brett's front tire. Not cool, but then he came around AGAIN and poked a tooth trough his shoe! The guy holding the dog was seriously in need of a "how to manage your dog" class. OMG!!!
Brett's face turned red, but he said he didn't want to escalate the violence with E watching. I was watching in horror thinking I was going to have to unclip and go throw myself between a dog and E or Brett and the Guy. After we passed that, we were going along the lakeshore. Pretty neat till we hit a marina/park/beach/child train ride area. It was SO congested that we decided to turn around right there and head North the other way toward Acme. Better, but still not great. This trail is used as a walking and bike commuting path for tourists to get from hotels to restaurants and adventure water parks with go-carts.
So, again it was kind of a relief to hit the end of the trail and turn around for the car. After that we headed to the lakeside play park for E to get out and RUN! That is just what she did. We played on the playground for minutes, before deciding that the beach and water were WAY better.
We were all hungry after the ride and play time so we headed to the Northern Brewing Company.
Beer OK, Food OK.
Then we just decided to head back to Lake Cadillac. The weather was still so nice and Lake Cadillac was super calm. So, we decided to go out for a night paddle ride. E was getting very brave. Once she tried to jump off the paddle board, then she decide to come into the dock standing.
here she was given some pretzels that she immediately threw all over the board.
When we returned to the condo there was a vegan chili and fruit salad waiting. YUM!!!!!!
Back to the 40 for bed. We were super tired.
