Wed Aug17th

Looking like a nice day but forecast calling for rain. We were trying to decided between paddling the bay in TC or the front door of the condo.
We decided to go get breakfast first. Cheryl's landing here we come.... I love sitting outside by the water to eat my breakfast. It makes me feel like we're on vacation no matter what day it is. (YES, I don't work right now, but it's NOT the same as a vacation!!)
E ended up eating MOST of my breakfast! YES, I typed that right. I guess she will keep my diet going in the right direction. Everyday is different with this girl, food wise. Tops on her list  have always been eggs, broccoli, corn (especially baby), veggie patty from Schnitz, and now tofu.

ANYWAY, after she ate my plate Brett took her in to pay the bill. They were taking a while, and I could hear them talking. Next thing I know, a superman ice cream cone emerges from the door with E's lips attached to it! NO FAIR!! :))  Brett and E finished the cone and we went to track down my Dad.

(PICTURES COMING.........)

He was at the trailer pulling the last wire for our new water heater and getting it all hooked up and squared away. YEAH!!!!!  He's WAY too good to us! All of our parents are.

We left there to come back to the condo and do some MUCH needed laundry. E feel asleep for about a hour and a 1/2. During her nap, Brett went to load up the boards and get ready to paddle Lk Cadillac.
It was getting late in the afternoon and this would be fine for today. E was a little hesitant at first and wanted to sit on my lap. SO I paddled on my knees going out. WOW!!! My feet and entire lower leg was completely asleep after a short while. I quickly changed my mind and convinced E to try to sit on the board, PLEASE! She did and I was on my hands and knees waiting for pins and needles to subside.
I stood up and she stayed sitting between my legs. After a while, she was laying on her belly running her hand in the water and feeling more comfortable in the choppy water. YES!!!!! :) Good News for us.
We know we can go paddling with her for sure now.

At 3 o'clock I decided to start prepping a meal. Indian simmer sauce-Saag with dry-fried & marinated tofu, cauliflower, broccoli, peas, baby corn, and other veggie goodness. I also made the cucumber salad again which we ate for desert.

We ate the meal and decided to go out for an evening paddle. I was able to start standing up this time & E knew right where her spot was.

We were out for 45mins-1hour?
It was a little chilly and E was letting me know she was ready to head back.

As E and I arrived at the dock, Condo ladies came out to talk with us and wanted to help me get E off the board etc. I let them know it's no problem, dropped the paddle balanced the board and plopped her on the dock. Very nice group and nice to talk to. NOT everyone is like that in the building.
